Araaik Beach Village
Nestled in the remote northernmost atoll of Haa Alif, at the edge of the Maldives, is the idyllic, peaceful village island of Hoarafushi where Araaik Beach Village is located. The island has a population of around 3,600 inhabitants. There are a few guesthouses on the island. It has its airport, health centre, several restaurants and cafes, and a bus service. The island has a rich cultural history and a hospitable society, welcoming visitors. The island is generally quiet, but especially during times of celebration such as Eid al-Adha. The island has one of the nicest beaches in the Maldives.
